The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) is actively implementing energy management initiatives to address climate change. In 2023, the Bank reduced its electricity consumption by 5.75% compared to the previous year, and by 15.8% compared to the baseline year of 2021, through the installation of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) at 22 branches. Additionally, NBK decreased its total greenhouse gas emissions by 10.43% compared to 2021, demonstrating a strong commitment to its decarbonization strategy.
